GREENTIE: Greenhouse Gas Technology Information Exchange

NoteThe GREENTIE Programme ceased collecting new information in April 2005. The website remains available as a store of the information collected by the programme. Discussions concerning the future of the IEA EETIC Implementing Agreement (GREENTIE's parent) are ongoing - please visit www.eetic.org for the latest information. SUMMARY

GREENTIE was a worldwide scheme, initiated jointly by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), to identify and transfer information on greenhouse gas reduction technologies. The GREENTIE Directory, which contains information on greenhouse gas reduction, energy efficiency, renewable energy and coal technology, will be accessed by potential users from mainly developing countries to locate greenhouse gas reduction technology specific to their needs. The Directory includes equipment manufacturers, service suppliers, industrial RD&D centres and laboratories, engineering and consultancy bureaus, public utilities, national and local governments, government RD&D centres and policy centres, as well as institutional RD&D centres such as universities, research centres and laboratories.

The organisation also produced a periodic Newsletter, the GREEN TIMES.
