Fields of Energy is the concept of Senova Ltd (previously SWSeed) launched in 2006 to promote their ability to harness crops and new technologies so delivering Bioenergy as a viable long term alternative. The use of agriculture as a source of biofuels will create a much needed inward investment to agriculture and create a new income stream.

Through this concept Senova wishes to increase the awareness of British growers and consumers to the opportunities that will emerge in this new dynamic sector. This will be achieved in a number of ways through promotion, demonstration and commercial engagement.

Previously the company was part of the Swedish group Svalöf Weibull, with experience in operating both bioethanol and biodiesel plants in Sweden, as well being Europe€s largest breeder and crop developer of willow SRC. Much of this knowledge and experience passes to the new company that will continue to be the UK representative for material emanating from the various breeding programmes of Svalöf Weibull.

Whilst there is a change of shareholders and name, the company essentially remains the same entity as when it was formed 25 years ago. As an independent company, Senova will harness the experience and competence of its staff to develop its product portfolio in key crop sectors and maintain its interest in biofuels.
