Abstract

This project will create a web-based biofuel information portal combined with a supply and demand information system. It provides a forum where Europe's biofuel stakeholders can

• promote their technologies
• exchange ideas
• sell and buy biofuel products
• disseminate results of research activities
• raise awareness of the public and professional community

It will deliver a matrix of multi-disciplinary and cross-sectoral work-packages

• to establish a web-based marketplace with a supply and demand information system for biofuels
• to involve industrial and political stakeholders, decision-makers and multipliers in Europe
• to give an overview of European projects covering the strategic and management aspects of biofuel market development
• to review the technical development of biofuels and related technologies
• to determine barriers and economics of biofuels
• to disseminate and promote the use of biofuels in Europe

It will serve as forum where stakeholders can assess, develop, promote and disseminate the implementation of new concepts for the utilisation and trading of biofuels. Three main target groups are directly addressed by the project:

• European developers of biofuel products and technologies
• Potential users and customers of biofuel products
• European financing institutes, organisations and facilitators
