Abstract

The overall concept of the project is to remove waste timber from landfill and produce a new recycled timber product. It is based on the fact that at present waste timber is land-filled, chipped for use in the particle board industry or for fuel briquettes. E.U. directives will lead to the saturation of the chipped timber market this alternative method will not only create a new market but will help to maintain the chipped timber industry. The purpose of the project is to develop a new system of recycling and production of new construction components. The production of a prototype machine will produce sample material for testing and certification.
