The workshop IMPROLIVE-2000 was held in Seville, Spain on 13-14 April 2000.

The proceedings are available on this site as 4 PDF files:

The Workshop Improlive-2000 has its origin in the need to disseminate the results of the FAIR project Improlive (FAIR-CT96-1420). The opportunity has also been taken to gather in Seville a number of experts, entrepreneurs and representative of institutions and public administrations in order to discuss and exchange ideas and experiences with a common denominator: the residues generated from olive oil processing.

The Workshop took place over two days, seven verbal meetings, with four round tables and a poster session. More than 100 points were raised in the discussions that followed each session, with very active participation of more than 50 Workshop attendants.

The Proceedings contain several documents related to the Workshop Improlive-2000: the communications presented in the oral sessions, abstracts and supplementary material, the final report of the Project Improlive and a list of participants.

The texts of the meetings are presented in Spanish and English and they have been elaborated from the simultaneous translation recordings taken during the Workshop. The structure of each session is the following: first, the text in Spanish of each presentation, with transparencies or figures, followed by the text in English of each presentation and the transparencies or figures if they are in English.

The annexes include the abstracts sent by the presentation authors and some complementary material that serves to stretch the content of the presentations. The material received from the authors has not been translated.

The final report of the project Improlive is also included. This is a valuable document, aiding the understanding of results of the project. More detailed and updated material can be obtained from the web pages of the project.

A list of the participants of the Workshop and a final acknowledgement section are also included.

It is anticipated that the book will be available from Universidad Complutense de Madrid in printed form in September 2001.
