A 27 MW_e RDF gasification plant at Ano Liosia

Objectives

The aim is to construct a 27 MW_e net gasification plant at Ano Liosia, Greece, to be fuelled by RDF (23.8 t/h at 24% moisture). The project will demonstrate the TPS circulating fluidised bed gasification technology and steam turbine on a large scale as a competitive alternative to incineration. This plant will be the first thermochemical conversion facility for waste in Greece. It will include CFB catalytic cracker for gas cleaning. 30.9% net electrical efficiency. 191,520 MWh/y. 7,200 h/y operation. Nominal investment is 2180 ECU/kW_e.
