OBJECTIVE:

• I. To focus the specific research expertise of the partners in juvenility, rejuvenation, maturation and somatic embryogenesis as the central theme of the Concerted Action.

• II. To fill the gaps in our knowledge on juvenility, maturation, rejuvenation and somatic embryogenesis with the aim to improve vegetative propagation of trees of significant value.

• III. Development of a coherent research strategy to advance the understanding of juvenility, rejuvenation, maturation and somatic embryogenesis of superior trees and to improve vegetative propagation of tree species for use in European forestry.
