BioMatNet: Biological Materials for Non-Food Products

Between November 2005 and December 2007 BioMatNet was the part of the EPOBIO project that made available the results from RTD projects supported by the European Commission in the area of Biological Materials for Non-Food Products (Renewable Bioproducts).

Although this site is no longer updated, it will remain online as a resource for as long as possible.

The website includes final results from the Fifth and Sixth Framework Programmes (FP5/6), FAIR Programme (FP4) and previous programmes, as well as ongoing research from FP6, and introduces FP7.

The BioMatNet website includes a fully searchable Database of Websites that reflects the interests of organisations that previously registered with the network. This database is currently being updated to include links to other relevant websites including those of organisations associated with EC RTD projects.

The BioMatNet database and the information presented here were supported as part of the EPOBIO project, funded from November 2005 - December 2007 through FP6. Supported by Specific Support Action SSPE-CT-2005-022681 Realising the Economic Potential of Sustainable Resources - Bioproducts from Non-Food Crops. EPOBIO is coordinated by CNAP (University of York); the website continues to be managed by CPL Press, UK.

This activity was previously funded from June 2001 - December 2004 through FP5 under Area 2 (Non-Food) of Key Action 5 (Sustainable Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) within the Quality of Life and Management of Living Resources Programme. Supported by EC Contract QLK5-2000-30100.
